Dear Fellow Domestic Helpers,
In order to improve yourself on the job, I will share with you some
of the employer¡¦s real concerns as follows:
1. Morning greetings ¡V
greet employer/family members every morning with a smile.?
2. Don¡¦t neglect/isolate
yourself from the children ¡V always be attentive to their needs: such as
taking meals, bathing, helping on homework, etc.?
3. When you¡¦ve made a mistakes or
break/damage something in the house, always report to the employer ¡V do
not keep silent until the employer finds out because this will affect their
trust on you.?
4. Household cleanliness and personal
hygiene¡Xalways put your heart into your work when performing the daily
chores, don¡¦t be sloppy and slacking off on your work and take own
initiative to check on other areas in the house which needs re-arranging or
cleaning while you have spare time.?Try
not to wait for employer to ask you to do things.?In addition, always wash hands when you
come back from outside or before cooking or using the bathroom, take a bath
daily, etc.?
5. Very important, respect the elderly in
your house- be pleasant and patient listening to their instructions or
needs.
6. Try to improve on your cooking skills
or learn what kind of dishes that the employers like the most or least ¡V
just remember ¡V it¡¦s a really valuable experience to always open yourself
to learn different things especially you¡¦re all lucky enough to work
aboard.?I always joking to my own
helper that someday when she finished contract with us; she can open a
Chinese restaurant when she goes back to the Philippines -- because she has
showed great improvement on her cooking skills since she¡¦s with us ¡V this
also tells you that she¡¦s willing to learn new things to equip herself to
be a more well-around person.?
7. Do not use mobile phone during working
hours unless it¡¦s emergency.?
8.?
You must respect your employer¡¦s privacy and do not gossip your
employer¡¦s family matters with other helpers whose living by your
neighborhood.
Keep Smiling and Take Good Care !
