Dear Fellow Domestic Helpers,

Hope you all survive from the summer heat this year ¡K..it¡¦s about time to prepare your employer¡¦s children to go back to school next week. Here are some pointers to start:

- take out all uniforms and check to see if it still fit the children, including socks, shoes, sweater, etc. In case the uniform becomes too small, you should alert your employer at once so he/she can buy new ones for the children. If the uniforms still fit, you should clean and iron them as well as polish the shoes, etc.

- in addition, also prepare and clean the children¡¦s water bottles, hand towels, cups, spoons and forks for school use.

- wash and clean up school bags, umbrella, raincoat, etc.

- employer might ask or you can take initiative to help to put on plastic covers for the children¡¦s new school books, sharpen the pencils, etc.

- for those of you who¡¦re dropping children off/picking up children at school bus stop ¡V make sure you know where the bus stop is and always be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes early so you would not miss the bus and cause problems for your employer later.

- try to train up the children to go to bed earlier this week (employer can help you to talk to the children if they don¡¦t listen) so they could get up on time during school days and won¡¦t be late for school.

- always make a habit of checking the daily weather/temperature in the morning or the night before so you can prepare umbrella, raincoat, sweater for the children the next morning.

If you help with the above and did it well; I am sure your employer will be very appreciative of your hard work in getting the children ready for school. And for those of you who did not need to takes care young children, you should continue to work hard for your employer and keep the house tidy and clean at all times.

Very Best Regards,
